Skilled Nursing
The skills and knowledge of our nursing staff enables them to coordinate, oversee patient's progress, and assist patient / caregiver to understand:
Stages of illness and recovery.
Treatments, diet, and medications.
Recognition of symptoms in recurring illnesses.
Client's rights and guidance to advance healthcare directive.
Our registered nurses also provide skilled nursing care in the following areas:
Wound Care Assessment and Instruction
Ostomy Care and Instruction
Nutritional Guidance, Enterostomal Therapy
Nasogastric and Gastromy Care
Foley Catheter Insertion / Care
Venipuncture (as ordered by the Doctor)
HIV- AIDS related illnesses
Physical Therapy
The physical therapist evaluates, develops a plan of treatment, and establishes home exercise programs. The programs help to improve mobility, transfer skills, and upgrade ambulation; as well as, gait balance and coordination.
Prosthetic training, TENS instruction, monitoring, and management are also included.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
The occupational therapist evaluates and provides a plan of care in the use of therapeutic, creative self-care activities of daily living and adaptation to their living environment
Speech & Language Pathology
The speech therapist provides rehabilitation service for speech and language disorders; as well as, instructs other health team and family members on methods in improving communication skills.
Esophageal / Tracheal Esophageal speech instructions are also given.
HOME HEALTH AIDE
Evangel Home Health Services, Inc. employs state certified nurse assistants who are trained to assist patients with their personal care and hygiene, grooming, and activities of daily living.
